Jun. 7th, 2012 06:21 pmXellos is a Mazoku, and as a Mazoku he feeds on the negative emotional spectrum. He can also be, if not slightly weakened, at least severely bothered by an overly excessive amount of positive energy.
What this means is that Xellos does have some sense of empathy and ability to feel what emotions are being exuded around him. Otherwise he'd have no way to tell which was which, as humanity's suffering is a Mazoku's lifeblood.
As a general rule this only might only have a slight influence on most interactions beyond the color of conversations, at MOST. He rarely lets on to exact just what he's thinking, after all, and it's not like he can read your mind or anything. I will never try to leverage this significantly without asking permission from muns I'm interacting with, as I certainly wouldn't like it done to me. For the most part he'll interact with a most people normally, albeit as the self serving troll that he is.
Conversely, if someone goes through the halls singing about how "LIFE IS WONDERFUL" expect him to be banging his head against a wall.
So I am making this an OPT-OUT sort of thing. If you absolutely, positively do not want it indicated that he may be getting an emotional read off anyone, say so. He'll not draw attention to it 99% of the time anyway, but this way I know anyone who don't want it done at all. He'll just interact normally and I'll not draw attention to such things.
If you want to take it a step FURTHER and just don't want him interacting with you at all because of his nature, please say so. I'll totally understand.
Again, this is not something he's going to draw attention to the grand majority of the time. This is totally a just in case, covering all my bases sort of thing.
